Essential Skills: 1. Software Developers: Well versed in Programming languages like C++ or C# or.Net or Java or JavaScript or Python or SAP or ABAP on SAP HANA 2. Network Administrator: Well-versed with Deep packet tracing, network troubleshooting and Tools such as Nmap, putty, Linux, and Cisco IOS commands. 3. System Administrator: Well-versed in Server Architecture/OS/DB, Data centre operations and System Management and OS commands for Linux, PowerShell, VB script, and SQL Queries. 4. Information Security officer: Ethical Hacking courses, IT Security threats and mechanisms, Hacking, Spoofing etc.

Selection procedure
The GIC will select candidates based on candidates’ performance in Online tests, performance in Group Discussions & interview and medical examinations. The total marks for the Online Test, Group Discussion and Interview will be 200.

The tentative date for the Online test is February 2024. The test will be organized in all over India and the candidate can choose a location accordingly, which must be indicated in the Application Form. The corporation also reserves the right to hold the Online examination at some and not all the examination centres listed below depending upon the number of candidates and other relevant factors.
Qualifying Marks
GIC has set the minimum qualifying marks in the Online test –
60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST.
Minimum qualifying marks for the overall selection process (Online test, GD and Interview) – 60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST. o Candidate has to secure the minimum qualifying marks stated above in each stage of the selection process i.e. Online test, GD and Interview separately

Part B and Part C are common examinations the all candidates.
Negative Marking- There is a penalty for wrong answers marked (in objective tests) by the candidates. The ¼ of the marks will be deducted for the wrong answer.
Language of the Test- Tests will be bilingual i.e. English and Hindi except for test of English Language. The minimum qualifying marks would be applicable to the total score of the online examination
