FIITJEE was Know As A Reputated Brand For Engineering Coaching, FIITJEE is well-known for its proficiency in preparing students for competitive examinations, especially the Indian Institutes of Technology Joint Entrance Examination (IIT-JEE). These closures, however, seem to be the result of recent.
What led to the crisis?
The crisis emerged when administrative and civic action were taken against its branches for violating licensing and fire safety rules. Ghaziabad’s district inspector of Schools Dharmendra Sharma recently said the fresh drive launched under UP Coaching Regulation Act, 2002, against unregistered institutes.
The teachers were not paid their salary which ranges from 15 Lakh to 2 crore. These teachers started sending resignation. Another reason came up the diversion of funds to business other than the coaching.
FIITJEE Center Closed in Pune or Pimpri
An incident came to light in which many students had come forward against the institute for cheating in fees, due to which two FIITJEE centers located in Pune or Pimpri Chinchwad were suddenly closed on 12th July 2024. Students lodged a case against the main institute at Chinchwad police station.
The FIITJEE coaching centres in these cities are closes these cities are Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, Meerut and Bhopal. Parents had to file multiple police complaints in these regions. The coaching institute’s reputed South Delhi branch at Kalu Sarai near IIT-Delhi had also been forced to suspend some classes due exit of teachers who were allegedly not paid wages for several months.
Parent’s shock
On Monday parents got the text message from centre about the closing of branch. It was a big shock to one of parent who had deposited Rs.4 Lakh in one of FIITJEE centre in Noida Sector 26. Parent shared its plight that teacher told us that most faculty have left or leaving as they did not get their due for past several months.
So there is dharna at the centre of FIITJEE and police station by the parents.
The institute was promoted by one of IIT DK Goel who is a mechanical engineer from IIT Delhi. The institute was started three decades earlier. Let us see what happens to the future and parents hopes
