Age Limit (as on 01.08.2024):

The crucial date for age reckoning is fixed as 01.08.2023 in accordance with the provisions of DoP&T OM No. 14017 /70/87-Estt.(RR) dated 14.07.1988. Age limit for the posts is 20-25 years; i.e. Candidate must have been born not earlier than 02.08.1999 and not later than 01.08.2004 to be eligible to apply

SC/ST     5 Years

OBC       3 Years

Ex Servicemen   

3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the closing date

Departmental Candidates UR

Departmental candidates (Unreserved) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date

Up to 30years of age

Departmental candidates (OBC) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date.

Up to 33years of age

Departmental candidates (SC/ST) who have rendered not less than 3 years of regular and continuous service as on closing date     

Up to 35years of age

Who is Ex-Servicemen?

  1. A candidate who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-combatant in the Regular Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union,
  2. And (i) Who either has been retired or relieved or discharged from such service whether at his own request or being relieved by the employer after earning his or her pension,

Or

or 

Or

.6. Ex-recruits boarded out or relieved on medical ground and granted medical disability pension.

Age relaxation / ESM reservation is not admissible to sons, daughters and dependents of Ex-Servicemen. Therefore, such candidates should not indicate their category as Ex-Servicemen.

Distance Learning Education

B. Tech. Degree/Diploma in Engineering awarded by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) to the students who were enrolled up to academic year 2009-10 shall be treated as valid, wherever applicable.

Driving license Mandatory Delhi Police

Male candidates only: Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests (PE&MT) to be eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police. The male candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for the post of Sub Inspector in CAPFs only.

Correction Window will open on 30 March and will close on 31 March

What you can do Application Window

Candidates will be able to correct/modify online application parameters, wherein candidates will be allowed to resubmit applications after making requisite corrections/changes in the one-time registration/online application data as per their requirement
