DSSSB various government jobs at Delhi Govt. Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) conducts an annual state-level recruitment exam to select staff for various departments of the Delhi government. The DSSSB exam may have one tier or two tiers depending on the post you apply for. DSSSB 2021 exam is being conducted to select candidates

DSSSB Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for the exam depend on the post you have applied for. While candidates between 18 and 32 years of age can write the exam, the exact age limits depend on the post you are applying for.
Educational qualifications required for some of the most popular Delhi government jobs are:
The TGT candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in their subject along with a degree or diploma in educational training. They must have also cleared the CTET exam.
The candidates applying for the Assistant Teacher post for Primary classes should have cleared their Class 12 exams with at least 50% marks and have done a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D. Ed). They must have also cleared the CTET exam.
The candidates applying for the Assistant Teacher post for Nursery classes should have cleared their Class 12 exams along with NTT training or B. Ed Nursery.
The Head Clerk candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree and need to demonstrate their computer proficiency.
The Patwari candidates should have completed graduation from a recognised university.

DSSSB Exam Format
Depending on the post you apply for, you might have to appear for:
One-Tier Exam: Some vacancies require candidates to appear only for the Tier-I exam which has objective-type questions. The pattern of the exam may vary according to the post you apply for.
Two-Tier Exam: If the vacancy requires you to take the two-tier exam, you will have to appear for the Tier-I exam mentioned above as well as the Tier-II exam which is a descriptive test on the subject chosen by candidates.
Skill Test: This might be an Endurance Test or an Interview Round depending on the job you apply for.
Tier-I Exam Pattern for Assistant Teachers for Primary or Nursery Classes as well as TGTs
The DSSSB exam for teachers has two sections:
Section A has five sub-sections:
General Awareness
General Intelligence & Reasoning
Arithmetical & Numerical Ability
English Language Test
Hindi Language Test
Each sub-section has 20 questions and is worth a total of 20 marks. Overall, Section A has 100 questions that are worth 100 marks.
Section B is on Teaching Methodology. It has 100 questions and is worth a total of 100 marks.
Overall, the paper has 200 questions worth 200 marks. The duration of the DSSSB Tier-I exam is 2 hours.
Tier-I Exam Pattern for Jr. Secretariat Assistant (LDC)
It has five sections:
General Awareness
General Intelligence & Reasoning
Arithmetical & Numerical Ability
English Language Test
Hindi Language Test
Each section has 40 questions and is worth a total of 40 marks. Overall, it has 200 questions that are worth 200 marks. The duration of this exam is 2 hours.

Tier-I Exam Pattern for Counselors

The DSSSB exam for teachers has two sections:

Section A has five sub-sections:
General Awareness
Mental Ability & Reasoning Ability
Numerical Aptitude & Data Interpretation
English Language Test
Hindi Language Test

Each sub-section has 20 questions and is worth a total of 20 marks. Overall, Section A has 100 questions that are worth 100 marks.
Section B is on Related Subjects. It has 200 questions and is worth a total of 200 marks.
Overall, the paper has 300 questions worth 300 marks. The duration of this DSSSB Tier-I exam is 3 hours.

DSSSB Tier-II Exam Pattern

If you are required to take the two-tier exam, you have to take the multiple-choice type exam that has 200 questions that are worth 200 marks. You also need to take an additional descriptive test of 75 marks, where candidates need to write a descriptive essay worth 50 marks and a descriptive letter worth 25 marks. The overall duration of the exam is 3 hours.

The sub-sections of the Tier-II exam are:
General Awareness
Reasoning
Numerical Ability
English Language
Hindi Language
Descriptive Test

The first five sections are worth 40 marks each while the sixth section is worth 75 marks – 50 marks for the essay and 25 marks for the letter.

Overall, the exam has a total of 275 marks.
The Tier-II exam has negative markings. 0.25 marks are deducted for each question answered incorrectly. No marks are deducted for questions that are not attempted.
