The minimum qualification required is 10 Pass from recognized board.

Qualification
No student shall be eligible for enrolment in the Diploma technical (TDT) for the first Semester of study unless they have either
- passed the Secondary School Examination (Class X) of the Central Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent examination conducted by Boards in India or abroad recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education (COBSE), with the requisite subject/discipline if so specified in the curriculum of the TDT program, and with an aggregate percentage of more than or equal to 40%, or an equivalent Grade Point Average,
Or
- passed a two-year National Trade Certificate after class 8th from an institution recognized by the National Council of Vocational Education and Training (NCVTE) in the relevant/allied trade related to the Major Discipline of TDT with an aggregate percentage of more than or equal to 40%, or an equivalent Grade Point Average, or
- earned 40 credits of relevant qualification at NCrF level 3.0,
Or
You have “on-job experience” in the related sector with relaxed minimum qualifications as notified by the University after approval of the Academic Council. Provided that university reserves the right to cancel enrolment in the first semester by refunding the fee within one month of commencement of semester if total number of students depositing fee in the program falls below the minimum seats prescribed for running a program as notified by the university.
Region Specific Quota
85 percent of the seats are reserved for students of Delhi NCR region
For Open school Candidates
A candidate passing the qualifying examination from a study centre of NIOS located within the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi will be considered for Delhi Region only
Patrachar or Correspondence Students
These candidates have to produce the certificate of the school passed from Delhi NCR region
