The DY Patil University All India Biotechnology Common Entrance Test (AIBTCET) is an annual entrance exam conducted by DY Patil University, Pune, for admission to its undergraduate and postgraduate biotechnology programs. The exam is a gateway to various specializations within the field of biotechnology, including:

DPU AIBTCET 2024 Exam Eligibility:

• You must have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC / Std. XII) examination or an equivalent qualification from any recognized board in India or abroad.
• Minimum marks required in core subjects:

45% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together for General Category candidates.

40% in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology taken together for Reserved Category candidates (SC, ST, OBC).

• While not mandatory, knowing mathematics is desirable.

Selection Process– 

1. Entrance Exam:

• You must take the DPU AIBTCET 2024 exam, which is scheduled for April 21, 2024.
• The exam is a computer-based test (CBT) with 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
• Each question carries 1 mark, and there is no negative marking.
• The exam duration is 1 hour and 30 minutes.
• The exam covers topics in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics (desirable).

2. Merit List:

• Based on your performance in the exam, a merit list will be prepared.
• The merit list will be ranked according to the total marks obtained by candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, and Zoology taken together.

3. Counselling:

• Candidates with higher ranks in the merit list will be called for counselling.
• During counselling, you will be offered admission to programs based on your rank, program availability, and your preferences.

4. Document Verification:

• You will need to submit your original documents for verification during counselling.

5. Admission:

• Upon successful verification and acceptance of the offered program, you will be required to pay the admission fee to secure your seat.

How to apply for the DPU AIBTCET 2024 exam

1. Visit the official website: admissions.dpu.edu.in
2. Click on “Apply Online” for DPU AIBTCET 2024.
3. Register: Provide basic details like name, email, phone number, etc.
4. Fill out the application form: Carefully enter your educational details, program choices, and other required information.
5. Document upload: Scan and upload copies of your Class 10th and 12th mark sheets, caste certificate (if applicable), and other required documents.
6. Pay the application fee.
7. Apply: Review and submit the completed form. Print a copy for reference.

Document Required 

• Class 10th (SSC) Marksheet: This document verifies your completion of secondary education.
• Class 12th (HSC) Marksheet: This document verifies your academic performance in subjects relevant to the AIBTCET exam, including physics, chemistry, and biology.
• Transfer Certificate (TC): This document is issued by your previous school and verifies your enrollment and completion of studies there.
• Caste Certificate (if applicable): If you belong to a reserved category (SC, ST, OBC), you must submit a valid caste certificate issued by the competent authority.
• Medical Fitness Certificate: This document, issued by a registered medical practitioner, verifies your physical fitness to pursue the chosen program.
• Passport-size photographs: Two recent passport-size photographs with your name and signature on the back are required.

Optional Documents:

• Gap certificate (if applicable): If you have any gaps in your academic career, you must provide a gap certificate explaining the reason for the gap.
