DCET 2024- This entrance exam is conducted for lateral entry to second-year UG engineering courses and first-year UG Architecture courses. The DCET is administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), and admission is offered to both day and evening engineering colleges located in Karnataka.

After the examination an Answer key will be released tomorrow June 26.

IIT and NIT do not offer admission through Lateral entry

DCET Exam 2024 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

1.(Engineering Courses):A candidate who has passed any diploma examination or equivalent examination and
obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks taken together in all the subjects of the
final year (Fifth and sixth semester) diploma Examination (Q.E) is eligible for admission
to B.E courses, and 40% of marks in
Q. E. in case of SC, ST and Backward Classes of Karnataka candidates

2.Architectural CoursesCandidates have secured NATA score, this will be also for the candidates who secured diploma in Architecture  NATA Score
3.Working Experience for Engineering Diploma Holdersa candidate after passing the diploma, must have minimum of Two Years (one year as per
AICTE circulare dated 24-08-2023) Full Time Work experience as on 1st September, 2024, of the
year of admission, in a registered firm / Company / Industry / Educational and / Government
Autonomous Organizations in the branch of Engineering / Technology, in which the candidates
holds a diploma, and in which admission is sought by he / she

  6. Pay Application fee through Online Mode.
  7. After Submission Your Application form Take a Printout of your Application for Future reference.

Major Documents to be produced at the time of Admission

SSLC/10 class certificate

Diploma (All Semesters / Years) Marks Card of the candidate along with –

3) The candidate’s study certificate for having studied Three Years Diploma or equivalent examination in
Karnataka issued by the head of the educational institution.
4) Employment certificate of the parent issued by the Controlling Office where the parent is working
indicating the period during which he has worked in the State of Karnataka i.e., from the reporting
date to till date.
