Chemistry is not mandatory for JEE Main 2022

 Chemistry is not mandatory for JEE Main 2022 Having chemistry in 12 standard will not be necessary as before. This amendment has been made in the application of JEE Main-2022. This information has been given in the Information Bulletin issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA)

If Students have studied Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Biology, Biotechnology, Agriculture, Business Studies, Computer Science, Electronics and IT in class 12th, they can apply. And it is necessary to pass 12th with any three subjects out of other vocational subjects. But, it will be mandatory to keep two subjects- Physics and Maths in class 12th.
 NTA officials said that the registration process for JEE Main is on. The changes were issued following the instructions issued by the Union Ministry of Education, AICTE amended the rules. After this, NTA has given a chance to the students of other subjects besides PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) in class 12th to appear in JEE Main-2022.
Who can Apply?
NTA said that only those candidates are eligible for JEE Main-2022, who have passed 12th or equivalent examination in 2020, 2021 or who appeared or are appearing in class 12th examination in 2022. JEE Main will be held in two phases. The first phase examination will be held on 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 April and the second phase examination will be held on 24, 25, 26, 27, 28 and 29 May. You can apply till 31st March to appear in the exam.
Exam Pattern
For Paper 1 and Part-I of Paper 2, each Subject will have two sections.
 Section A will be of Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) 
Section B will contain Questions whose answers are to be filled in as a numerical value. 
In Section B, candidates have to attempt any 05 (five) questions out of 10. There will be negative marking for both Section A and Section B. For each question in Section B, enter the correct integer value of the answer using the mouse and the on-screen virtual numeric keypad in the place designated to enter the answer. For Section B, the answer should be rounded off to the nearest Integer.
