 CAT 2021 exam will be conducted on 28 November 2021. Result will be Tentatively declared in Second week of January 2022.

CAT 2021 Registration Extended : The registration for CAT application  has been extended till 22rd September 2021.
Common Admission Test (CAT) is a national level exam organized by IIMs on a rotational basis every year. The entrance is conducted to offer admission into management programmes in various colleges and institutions situated in India.
Number of private and government management institutions provide admission into MBA programmes through CAT scores.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for CAT 2021 should fulfill any one of the following conditions:
  • Completed Bachelor’s degree with the required percentage of marks
  • Completed professional degree (CA/CS/ICWA/Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of India (FIAI)) with required percentage. 
  • Should be in the final year of Bachelor’s degree with required percentage
  • Percentage-: General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates, the minimum is 50%.
  • SC/ST/PwD candidates should have a minimum 45%
The result will be available on the CAT official website. The results will be tentatively available starting from the second week of January 2022. The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. 
Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly.
 IIMs shortlist candidates for the interview stage based on their own criteria,
The process includes as following-: 
  • Written Ability Test (WAT), 
  • Group Discussion (GD) and 
  • Personal Interviews (PI). 
  • Performance in the CAT 2021 examination is an important component in the admission process. 
Other factor may include-:
The IIMs may additionally use other factors such as 
the previous academic performance of the candidates, 
relevant work experience, 
gender and academic diversity.
Other similar inputs in shortlisting and ranking of candidates at various stages of the admission process. The processes, academic cut-offs and the weights allocated to the evaluation parameters may vary across IIMs.
