CUET UG 2025 CBT mode-The CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted on computer based mode not hybrid mode. This was done following the recommendation from expert panel. Panel also suggested that a student can appear for the subject which he/she does not study in the class.

Not just UGC also announced that number of subjects being offered in CUET UG will be reduced from 63 to 37. The admission to these dropped subject will be offered through GAT (General Aptitude Test).
Jagadish Mamidala a chage bringing person said that it is based on the response in the past year we are continuously working to improve the exam process and providing more efficient environment for students.

This changes came when UGC formed a committee to suggest changes after reviewing all aspects such as it structure,number of papers,duration of test,syllabus alignment and operation logistics.
Mamidala said opting for CBT is to reduce the scope for human error in the evaluation. There is advantage of CBT as the result is processed quickly and provides enhanced security. A compulsory answer format offers a more comprehensive and uniform assessment of their knowledge and their abilities.
Now for offering the test for 33 languages test will be conducted only for 13 languages these are as follow
Assamese,
Bengali,
English,
Hindi,
Kannada,
Gujrati,
Malayalam,
Marathi,
Punjabi
Odia,
Tamil,
Telgu and ,
Urdu,
And domain specific subjects are also reduced from 29 to 23 and these dropped domain subjects are Entrepreneurship,Teaching Aptitude,Fashion Studies,Tourism,Legal Studies and Engineering Graphics.
The duration of test has been made identical for all paper and standardized at 60 minutes.
