Selection Criteria

MODE OF SELECTION

 Regular Diploma Courses Selection of eligible candidates for the courses in the Polytechnic Colleges and Special Institutions will be made based on the total marks secured in the qualifying examination and the ranking will be done in the order of total marks secured by the candidates in the SSLC / Equivalent examination following communal reservation. In respect of candidates whose maximum marks in the qualifying examination more than 500 as per scheme, the maximum marks shall be reduced to a base of 500 and rank arrived at along with other candidates.

Sandwich Courses

For 50% seats in the Sandwich Diploma Courses the selection will be done based on the total marks secured in the qualifying examination as for the regular courses following merit and communal reservation. For the remaining 50% seats in the Sandwich Diploma Courses the eligible candidates sponsored by the approved industries will be admitted.

Sandwich courses will extend for a period for 3 & 1/2 year (7 semesters). Candidates admitted to sandwich courses will attend the Institution study as well as In-plant Training in one of the connected industries

Document to be produced at the time Admission

The following original certificates should be produced at the time of admission to the Principal. (a) Conduct certificate and Transfer Certificate are in original from the Head of the Educational Institution in which the candidate had last studied; (b) SSLC mark sheet or mark sheet issued by the concerned educational authority for the qualifying examination; SSLC mark sheet issued by the Head Master of the School, will not be accepted. and (c) Original community certificate for ST / SC / SC(A) / MBC & DNC / BC (Others) / BC (Muslims) from prescribed authority

Lateral Entry Admission

QUALIFYING EXAMINATION Passed 10+2 examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship (Any of the three)

 (or) 10th +(2 years ITI) shall be eligible for admission to Second year Diploma Course(s) in Any branch of Engineeringand Technology

MODE OF SELECTION

(HSC/ 10Std.+ 2 years I.T.I.) Selection of candidates shall be done by ranking of all candidates put together. The candidates are selected on the basis of total marks secured in the +2 Examinations. 10th Std. passed + 2 years I.T.I., are selected on the basis of Total Marks secured in the Qualifying Examinations, up to a maximum of 10% sanctioned intake. 9. AGE IMIT: No Age Limit
