CLAT 2025 Counselling

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is set to publish the first allotment list for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 counseling on December 26, 2024. The counseling process for CLAT 2025 was commenced on December 11, 2024, and continued until December 20, 2025.

Seat allotment Dates

Second Allotment List January 10, 2025with payment due by Jan 16, 2025
Third allotment list January 24, 2025 with payment due by January 30, 2025
Freeze Candidates will need to pay the University Fee May 14, 2025 by 5:00 pm 
Fourth Allotment List May 20, 2025 with payment till May 24, 2025
Fifth Allotment List May 29, 2025 with payment till June 02, 2024
Final Freeze Payment for the 4th and 5th lists June 10, 2025
After all rounds Concluded CLAT Vacant seats 2025 will be filled individually by colleges. 

Who can participate in 2nd round of Counselling 2025?

Candidates must have registered for counseling between December 9 and December 20, 2024, in order to take part in the second round of CLAT 2025 counseling. Furthermore, the second round of counseling will only be open to candidates who have finished the counseling registration process on time.

Allotment of Seats

  • The Consortium will publish the allotment list based on the candidate’s rank, preferences, and availability of seats.
  • The allotment list will be published on the official website of CLAT.
  • Candidates can check their allotment status by logging in to their account.

Payment of Fees and Confirmation of Admission 

  • Candidates who are allotted seats must pay the admission fees and confirm their admission within the specified timeframe.
  • The admission fees will be paid online through the official website of CLAT.
  • Candidates must also upload the required documents, including their admission fee receipt and identity proof.

Reporting to the Allotted NLU

  • Candidates who have confirmed their admission must report to the allotted NLU within the specified timeframe.
  • Candidates must carry the required documents, including their CLAT 2025 Admit Card, Scorecard, and Identity Proof. 
  • Candidates must also pay the remaining fees, if any, to the allotted NLU.

Verification of Documents

  • The allotted NLU will verify the documents uploaded by the candidate during the counselling process.
  • Candidates must ensure that they have uploaded the correct documents and that the documents are in the prescribed format. 

Final Admission

  • After verification of documents, the allotted NLU will confirm the admission of the candidate.
  • Candidates will receive a confirmation email and a admission letter from the allotted NLU.
  • Candidates must report to the allotted NLU on the specified date and time to complete the admission formalities.
