 B.COM- Bachelor of Commerce is one of the popular UG course for the students who pursue commerce in 12 standard.

There are two courses for commerce students i.e., one is B.Com general or B.Com pass and B.Com(Hons) or B.Com honours.
First understand what B.Com general or pass course-: It is a 3 years degree course and it candidate chooses a combination of subjects apart from few core subjects.
The (Hons) is taught extensively in college/universities along with a specialization on the given subjects that student opt for.
Eligibility
As far as eligibility criteria are concerned, the difference comes in the percentage secured in 12 standards. Generally, the pass percentage is a little lesser than B.Com(Hons)
Many colleges conduct entrance exam for admission to their BCom (H) programmes.
Subjects in 12 Standard-:
  • The candidate must have studied Commerce in class 11 and 12 with Accountancy, Business Studies, Economics, Maths and English as main subjects.
  • The minimum cut off marks criteria is subject to each college/university’s own admission criteria for that year.

Apart from accounting & commerce and banking, finance & insurance, BCom (H) is the best course option for career and jobs in management, teaching, advertising, journalism, mass communication, law, design, public sector, etc. BCom (H) is the ideal choice for CA and CS aspirants.
B.Com and B.Com (Hons.) are two courses that both come from the same academic fields. But their curriculum differs vastly as their approach to learning is different.
