B Pharma

B Pharma. Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) is a four-year undergraduate program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of pharmaceutical science, drugs, and medicines. The curriculum and coursework of the B.Pharm program are designed to provide students with a strong foundation in the basic sciences, including chemistry, biology, and mathematics. In the first year of the program, students study courses such as Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Advanced Mathematics, Computer Applications, Drug synthesis, dosage formulation, analysing the chemical nature and preclinical testing of new drugs

Students have to appear for the entrance test which is conducted by both state-level common entrance tests and university-level entrance tests. There are also centralised counselling facilities for students appearing for common entrance tests for pharmacy. However, there are facilities for direct admission and institute-examination-based admissions for Bachelor of Pharmacy courses. Some colleges offer admission on the basis of NEET/ JEE Main Paper I.

Application process

The application process starts in the month of March and the exam and other procedure is completed by July.

Generally, the education qualification required is mostly the same in all Common Entrance Tests conducted by States/Universities

KEAM-Kerala Engineering, Agriculture and Medical entrance exam

  • Candidates must have secured 50% marks in Mathematics separately and 50 % marks in PCM (short for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) subjects together. 5% relaxation in minimum marks for reserved category applicants.

Madhya Pradesh Directorate of Technical Education (DTE)- 

  • The admission to the B.Pharm course in Madhya Pradesh will start in June
  • Eligibility- 12 pass with 45 % 
  • Subjects-:  Mathematics, Physics and Computer science/ Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology
