AP DEECET Dear students, if you are planning to become a teacher in school for Pre-Primary and Primary Classes in Government or Private School, you need to complete D.El.Ed Program from any recognized board or university approved by NCTE (National Council for Teacher Education). There are many institutions, universities and boards which offers these programs such as SCERT, NCERT, NIOS, IGNOU, Jamia Milia Islamia University and many other state and central universities including Deemed to be Universities in India approved by UGC and NCTE.

Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education, has started registration process to get admission into D.El.Ed. for the session 2024-26. The details are ass follow

1. DIPLOMA IN ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (D.EL.ED.)

D.EL.ED. is a diploma-level course that can be pursued after 12. D.EL.ED. is a two-years course that is focused on child education. D.EL.ED. trains aspirants to teach the students belonging to the primary/upper primary level. The D.EL.ED. syllabus deals with subjects like Childhood and the development of children, Contemporary society, Pedagogy of environmental studies, and many more.

In Andhra Pradesh, Candidates need to qualify an entrance test (DEECET-2024) to take admission to D.El.Ed. programmes 2024-26. Andhra Pradesh Department of School Education conducts this DEECET-2024.The successful candidates shall be called for counselling and seats shall be allotted on merit bases as per their choices.

AP DEECET ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

• Candidate seeking admission to D.El.Ed. course must have passed or appeared for Intermediate examination (Qualifying Exam) or its equivalent as decided by the DEECET Committee for appearing at the DEECET. However, he/she should have passed the qualifying examination at the time of admission.
• Candidates should have secured 50% of marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination for appearing in the DEECET for both A and B category seats.
• The minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination for schedule caste, schedule tribe and physically challenged candidates shall however be 45% for both A and B category seats.
• Candidates should have secured a rank in DEECET-2024 conducted for the academic year 2024-25 concerned for admission into government DIETs and Private elementary teacher training institutions and satisfy the educational criteria prescribed for the course.

AP DEECET AGE LIMIT

• The candidates should have completed 17 years of age as on 1 September 2024. There shall be no upper age limit for admission into D.El.Ed. course.

AP DEECET Seat allotment

All the sanctioned intake of seats in D.El. Ed course in Got DIETs and Convener quota (Category-A) in private un-aided elementary teacher education institutions shall be filled by the convener DEECET-2024. Such seats shall be allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank obtained in DEECET-2024. The intake capacity in each institute may change from time to time as decided by NCTE. The admission procedure will be followed as per G.O.Ms.No. 30 Education 9PE-PROGS.II) Department Dt:08-07-2015 and amendments thereon.

            1. 85% of seats shall be reserved for the local candidates and remaining 15% of seats shall be unreserved seats. For the 15% of unreserved seats all the candidates are eligible to apply for DEECET-2024.

2. The rule of reservation of seats for SC/ST/BC/EWS/PBD/NCC/CAP/Ex-Servicemen/SCOUTS & GUIDS/ etc., shall be followed as prescribed by the government from time to time.

There are total intake of 2950 seats out of them 1650 seats are for Government DIETs while 1300 are for Privately affiliated Institutions in all the districts of Andhra Pradesh. AP DEECET Application Process

Interested candidate should apply through online mode by visiting the official website of Ander Pradesh Board of School Education https://cse.ap.gov.in the application process follows the following steps

1. Visit official website https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in
2. Click on link of DEECET-2024
3. Fill the preliminary Information such as Name of the candidate, date of birth, gender, whether the candidate belongs to A.P and Mobile phone number)
4. Pay online payment of Rs. 750/- through payment gateway
5. After making the payment of Rs. 750/- candidate will receive a Journal Number with which he/she can proceed with submission of application online.
6. Candidates should be ready with photograph of size 3.5*3.5cm and paste the photograph on a white paper and sign below (sign in black ink only) and scan the photo along with signature and resize up to 50kb and upload it.
7. Admission Method

The admission into all government DIETs and Category A seats of the Private Unaided Elementary Teacher Training Institutions shall be made through a single Window system in order of merit list basis of rank assigned in DEECET-2024 Entrance test and to the extent of sanctioned seats through Web Based Admission service provided by the Convener DEECET-2024.

• Admit Card

Candidates should download D.El.Ed CET -2024 Admit card though the official website https://cse.ap.gov.in 4 days before the exam. Admit card will contain candidates name, roll number, photograph, signature of the candidate, address of the examination centre and test schedule. Candidates are advised to keep their admit card in good condition for future reference.

AP DEECET Exam Pattern for D.El. Ed Common Entrance Test- 2024

There shall be one question paper in Two Parts (Part-A and Part -B) of 100 questions for 100 marks.  The questions will be of Multiple-choice objective types. The question paper contains two parts as follow: –

AP DEECET Minimum passing marks for D.El. Ed-CET 2024

1. 50% minimum pass marks for OC, BC, EWS category candidates for 50 marks out of 100
2. 45% minimum pass marks for reserved category (SC/ST/PHC) candidates 45 marks out of 100
3. 50% for SC/ST against OC, NCC, CAP, Sports persons (state and national level only) 50 marks out of 100

6. Merit list will be prepared based on the total marks obtained in DEECET Exam
7. Counselling

There shall be no personal interview for selection of candidates however, counselling shall be held for ascertaining the credentials and sponsoring the candidates to different DIETs and privately institutions.

Counselling session shall be conducted by the Andhra Pradesh, Department of School Education  for the allocating seats to the candidates based on his/her preferences and position in the merit list prepared based on entrance test D.El. Ed (DEECET) 2024. The date, time and venue of counselling shall be decided by the HPBoSE on its official website https://cse.ap.gov.in & https://apdeecet.apcfss.in . No separate communication or letter for any round of counselling will be sent to any candidate.
