AFCAT Notification 2024: Indian Air Force (IAF) released the short notification for AFCAT 2 2024 exam on May 20, 2024. The detailed notification along with the application form will be released on May 30, 2024 Exam will be conducted for Indian citizens (Men and Women) its elite force as Group A Gazetted Officers in Flying and Group Duty (Technical and Non-Technical). The exam is Conducted twice a year, in February and August/September 2024

AFCAT 2 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Flying Branch through AFCAT and NCC Special Entry: A candidate should be 20 to 24 years old as of 01 January 2025 i.e. born between 02 January 2001 to 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive). The upper age is 26 years limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) i.e. born between 02 January 1999 and 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: A candidate should be 20 to 26 years as of 01 January 2025 i.e. born between 02 January 1999 and 01 January 2005 (both dates inclusive)
- Marital Status: A Candidate must be unmarried at the time of commencement of the course and marriage is not permitted during training. A candidate who marries during the period of training shall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditures incurred on him by the Government.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Ground Duty Technical Branch (Aeronautical Engineer in Mechanical)
- 10+2 level (with minimum passing marks 50% each in Math and Physics) and Graduation four year degree (field of engineering and technology) course/integrated or post graduation from recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or Equivalent. OR
- Those who have cleared the examination of associate membership of the institution of engineers (India)in both sections A& B. (with minimum qualifying marks 60% in certain disciplines).
ii) Aeronautical Engineering (Electronics)
- 10+2 level (with minimum passing marks 50% each in Math and Physics) and Graduation four year degree (field of engineering and technology) course/integrated or post graduation from recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or Equivalent. OR
- Those who have cleared the examination of associate membership of the institution of engineers (India)in both sections A& B. (with minimum qualifying marks 60% in certain disciplines). OR
- Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches Administration
- Graduation degree in any stream with minimum of 60% marks. And should have cleared section A&B examination with minimum passing marks of 60%
- Weapon System Branch
- 10+2 level (with minimum passing marks 50% each in Math and Physics) and Graduation three year degree in any discipline from recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or Equivalent. OR
- BE/ B. Tech. degree (Four years course) from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks /Equivalent.

- Picture Perception and Discussion Test (PP & DT)

MARKING SCHEME:
- There will be MCQ Type Questions.
- 3-marks awarded for every correct answer.
- There will be 1-marks deducted for every wrong answer.
HOW TO APPLY FOR AFCAT 2 2024
- Open your search engine and visit on the official website of www.afcat.cdac.in
- Now click on “New User Register”. If you are first time user.
- Registered yourself at AFCAT Portal using through Mobile number and email address.
- You will get the OTP in your mobile as well as in your email. Enter the “OTP” at the space provided in the above screen and press the “Submit” button.
- Now login to AFCAT web page by entering login ID /email ID with password. New registration window will open front of you.
- Select the post Name.
- Enter all required details correctly and press the “Save & Continue” button.
- Pay the examination fee online using a Credit/Debit Card or Internet Banking.
- Upload Scanned Copies of your photograph, Documents and signature.
- Now press the “Save & Continue” button to save information.
- It shows the preview of the application information in various tabs. Carefully verify the details that shown and candidate could modify if any changes required by pressing “Back” button.
- If Form is completely filled its necessary to Download and Save application form for Future references.
