Admission twice a year in University or college UGC Chief- TheUGC has allowed the universities to take admission twice year. The students have the time to pursue the course for which they have to wait for another year. The decision was taken in the last commission meeting.

Though this is not mandatory for Universities, they are free to do this from next financial year. The biannual admission can be done by those college or universities which have necessary infrastructure.

The first admission that starts in July/August and next session will start in January of next year.

Mamidala the UGC chief has explained the advantage of this Bi-annual admission, as this is a global practice, second the universities will be able to utilize their resources say infrastructure, teacher faculty. It will be an opportunity for Indian Universities to synchronize the global universities.
