Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts Combined Medical Services Examination (CMS) for the posts of Assistant Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Services, Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways, Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services, etc. as per the available vacancies.
UPSC CMS is conducted into 2 stages – Computer-based examination and personality test. The computer-based examination comprises of 2 papers – Paper 1 (General Medicine and Pediatrics), Paper 2 (Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics and Preventive & Social Medicine).

UPSC CMS 2025 Correction window
There is no provision for application correction window in case of an inadvertent/ unintentional/typographical error committed by a candidate in indicating the date of birth in the Online Application Form, the candidate may make a request to the Commission for subsequent rectification along with supporting documents, as specified in the Rule 5 of the Examination and the request may be considered by the Commission, if the same is made latest by the date of the Combined Medical Services Examination, All communication in this regard should contain the following particulars:-
1. NAME AND YEAR OF THE EXAMINATION.
2. REGISTRATION I.D. (RID.).
3. ROLL NUMNBER (IF RECEIVED)
4. NAME OF CANDIDATE (IN FULL AND IN BLOCK LETTERS).
5. COMPLETE POSTAL ADDRESS AS GIVEN IN THE APPLICATION.
6. VALID AND ACTIVCE EMAIL ID.
Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)
The portal is opened for representation of question to be represented by the candidates if any. It is opened for 7 days to receive the objection from the candidates. Such representation must be submitted through the “Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)” only by accessing the URL https://upsconline.gov.in/miscellaneous/QPRep/. No representation by email/post/ hand or by any other mode shall be accepted and the Commission shall not involve into any correspondence with the candidates in this regard. No representation shall be accepted under any circumstances after this window of 7 days is over.

UPSC CMS 2025 Nationality
The following candidates are eligible to appear for UPSC CMS
- Indian, or
- Bhutan, or
- Nepal, or
- Indian-origin migrants who have settled permanently in India from East African Countries of Uganda, Kenya, Pakistan, the United Republic of Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Zaire, Burma, or
- Tibetan refugee who settled in India permanently before January 1, 1962, with a certificate issued by the Government of India can apply for UPSC CMS 2023.

Scheme of Examination
Part-I WRITTEN EXAMINATION – (500 marks). The candidates will take the written examination in two Papers, each Paper is carrying a maximum of 250 marks.
Part-II Personality Test: (100 Marks): Personality test carries 100 marks for those candidate candidates who qualify on the results of the written examination.

Mode of Payment
The fee can be deposited in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI. Note: 1. Applicant who opt for “Pay by cash” mode should print the system generated Pay-in slip during Part-II registration and deposit the fee at the counter of SBI Branch on the next working day only
UPSC CMS Admit Card
UPSC CMS 2025 admit card will be issued by UPSC online for computer-based examination and Personality test separately. Aspirants who successfully fill the application form will be issued admit card for computer-based examination.
