Facing the placement debacle in the past year IIM are changing their focus to long tern employability. IIM Kozikhode recently established CARE office this year. This is an initiative by director Debashis Chatterjee, to improve students’ employability rather than solely targeting immediate job opportunities.
The three function approach is being implemented such as corporate access, Corporate readiness and corporate engagements.
Prof Rajesh Srinivas dean (programmes) strategic management at IIM Kozhikode, mentions that “In the last decade, batch sizes have doubled but the process hasn’t changed.”

He emphasized that the job market is becoming increasingly competitive and unpredictable, it demands the multiple career paths and a different approach to engaging with recruiters. The focus is on identifying and addressing gaps to enhance students’ long-term career prospects.

In this a student profile development will be done through one on one interaction, and coaching and personal branding workshops

The sustainable relationship will be created with recruiter which will be led by a team of 5 to 7 professional recruitment manager which a institute is hiring them.
