Delhi University has announced the second round of seat allotment results under the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) following the first round. Students must accept their allocated seats by August 27, 4:59 pm, and complete the fee payment by August 30, 4:59 pm, to secure their spot.
Highlights of Round II Seat Allocation
In the second round, 24,869 new seat allocations were made, and 27,555 candidates received seats from higher preferences through the upgrade option. Students who successfully pay the fees can choose the “Upgrade” option for subsequent rounds. After the first round, 65,775 seats out of the total 71,600 have been confirmed, with 43,065 candidates opting for an upgrade and 20,829 candidates choosing to freeze their seats.
DU’s Strategy for Optimal Seat Allocation
DU plans to allocate additional seats in Round II to ensure optimal seat filling and facilitate the start of the academic session on August 29. The university is also reconsidering students rejected in Round I due to invalid documents, evaluating them under the UR category based on merit and preference, provided seats are available in the second round.

Tie-Breaking Criteria for CUET UG Scores
This year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) released raw CUET UG scores instead of normalized scores. DU will resolve ties by considering the following criteria:
- Higher percentage of aggregated marks in the top three subjects of Class 12.
- Higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best four subjects of Class 12.
- Higher percentage of aggregate marks in the best five subjects of Class 12.
- Earlier date of birth as per the Class 10 marksheet.
- Alphabetical order of the candidates’ names.
