Neet SS 2024 Application Form – The NEET SS 2024 application form is Expected to be released in the month of September, 2024 by the NBEMS (National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences). The Court Observed that the petitioners, who have previously taken the Neet-SS, would not be unduly harmed if the exam is postponed to next year.
The exam this year would disadvantage students from the 2021 post Graduate batch, who are set to complete their courses only in January 2025, by denying them an opportunity to appear.

- Post graduate medical Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate in MD/MS/DNB or an equivalent.
- Candidates already pursuing or have joined a Doctoral Course (DM/MCh/DrNB) through NEET-SS are not eligible for admission to DrNB Superspecialty courses through NEET-SS 2024.

The NEET SS exam is a entrance examination conducted for admission to DM/ MCh Courses in various medical colleges in India. It is a qualifying – Cum- ranking examination for admission to various PG Courses.

- NEET-SS 2024 shall be conducted as a computer based examination.
Marking Scheme for Group Based Examination:
The examination will be group based examination and the examination paper will consist of questions from only broad specialty primary feeder and each candidate can opt for any of the super specialty as per feeder subject, unlike previous pattern of examination, where each candidate could have opted for only two super specialties and the examination paper consisted of 60% questions from super specialty and 40% questions from feeder broad specialty.
PATTERN OF QUESTION PAPER:
- There are total number of question in question paper shall be 150 Question.
- Duration of Exam – 2 ½ hours. (150 minutes)
- Subjects – The question paper will consist of questions from the General/Basic component of the primary feeder broad specialty subject and from all sub-specialty/systems/component of that primary feeder broad specialty subject.
- All the 150 questions would be from the Curriculum of the Post Graduate Exit level of the primary feeder broad specialty subject.

- AIIMS, New Delhi and other AIIMS running super specialty programme.
- PGIMER, Chandigarh

- No state government/private medical college/Universities including the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.

- Candidates placed at the 50th percentile or above shall be declared as qualified in NEET-SS in their respective specialty.
Neet SS 2024 Admit Card
The Authority will release admit card on official website. Candidates will be informed through SMS/Email alerts and website notice regarding availability of the admit card on National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences website. Admit card will not be sent to the candidates by Post/Email.

Size of Photo Graph for Upload
- Size of photograph : Minimum 35×45 mm (and not larger than the box printed on admit card for pasting the photograph) with at least 75% area on the photograph should be occupied with the face & head of the candidate.
- Colour Photograph with plain white background
- The Photograph should not have reflection or shadow on the face with red eyes.

Neet SS Counselling
Candidates who are declared qualified in the Question Paper of particular group(s) and registering for participation in the common counseling shall be allowed to exercise as many choices of superspecialty courses covered in said group(s) for which their broad specialty qualification is an eligible feeder. Superspecialty seats shall be allocated strictly in accordance with the Question Paper Group specific merit position. For Eg. A General Medicine candidate who is declared qualified in the question paper of Medical Group will be able to choose from all available seats in the superspecialty subjects covered in the Medical Group.
Neet SS 2024 Syllabus
The NEET SS 2024 syllabus is expected to be the same as last year’s. The exam covers 60% of qustions from super specialty and 40 % of questions from feeder broad specialty.
How long will the validity of NEET SS 2024 be?
The validity of the result of NEET-SS 2024 shall be only for the current admission session i.e. 2024-25 admission session for DM/ M.Ch and DrNB Super Specialty courses and cannot be carried forward for the next session of admissions for DM/MCh and DrNB Super Specialty courses.
What is Tie breaking criteria for NEET SS 2024?
- Candidate having greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
- Candidate having lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.
- Older candidate will be placed at a better merit position.
- Candidate securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be placed at a better merit position
