HTET 2024 Application and Important Dates

• Application Process: The application for HTET 2024 will be conducted online through the official BSEH website. Candidates need to complete the application form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the application fee​
• Application: The Application form is expected to open in September/October 2024 and deadline to submit the application is November 10, 2024​
• In 2023 the application opened in October and the exam exam was held in December 2023

HTET 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Primary Teacher (Level 1): Candidates must have completed Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, or equivalent qualifications.
• Trained Graduate Teacher (Level 2): Candidates should hold a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or equivalent qualifications.
• Post Graduate Teacher (Level 3): Candidates need a post-graduation degree in the relevant subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed or equivalent qualifications​

HTET 2024 Exam Pattern

• Level 1 (Primary Teacher): The exam includes 150 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) covering topics like Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), Mathematics, Environmental Studies, and General Studies.
• Level 2 (TGT): The exam consists of 150 MCQs focusing on Child Development and Pedagogy, Languages (Hindi and English), specific subject knowledge, and General Studies.
• Level 3 (PGT): Similar to Level 2, it includes 150 MCQs but focuses more on subject-specific knowledge​

Qualifying Marks

For General Category -60 percent

For SC/ST                        55 percent

For candidates outside the State-60 percent

Fees and Salary

• Application Fee: For general category candidates from Haryana, the fee is ₹1,000 for one level, ₹1,800 for two levels, and ₹2,400 for all three levels. For candidates outside Haryana, including SC and PH candidates, the fees are the same as the general category fees within Haryana​
• Salary: As per the 7th Pay Commission, the salary for primary teachers ranges from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400 per month​
• Other Details

• Validity: The HTET certificate is valid for seven years from the date of issuance​ ​.
• No Negative Marking: The exam does not have a negative marking system.
