Highest number of students from IIT Madras zone-JEE Advanced result is announced on 9 June-The IIT Madras has conducted this year entrance exam. IIT Madras zone has the highest number of students qualifying in the JEE (Advanced) exam in the country with 11,180 clearing the exam this year.
The five candidates were in the top five and and 25 students were in top 100 and 45 students made into the top 500.
The zonal cover the southern region alternates between IIT Madras and IIT Hyderabad. This includes the IITs of Hyderabad, Madras, Tirupati, and Palghat, covering Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala. The results were declared by IIT Madras this year.
We can see that at least three students from Tamil Nadu featured in top 100 this year. The candidate with the best rank from Tamil Nadu last year got 52nd rank on common rank list, this year the state’s topper was placed 42nd. At least six students from TN had made it to top 100 last year.
Aryaman Prasad is the topper in IIT Madras zone who scored 315 marks out of 360,. He said he has plan to join IIT Bombay for computer science programme. Aryaman Prasad originally belonged to UP and his family settled in Chennai.
This year some 1,80,200 students appeared for JEE Advanced this year.
Other toppers are Ved Lahoti of IIT Delhi zone is the top ranker in the Common Rank List (CRL). He obtained 355 out of 360 marks. Dwija Dharmeshkumar Patel of IIT Bombay zone is the top-ranked female candidate.
