Nagaland University Admission Eligibility Criteria:

1. Agriculture Engineering and Technology –
2. 10+2 Physics, Chemistry OR Agriculture stream.
3. Math /Biology/Biotechn ology/Agriculture/ Agriculture stream.
4. Mathematics for non – Math/Chemistry for non-Chem (Will be offered in First Year of B.Tech.)

• Biotechnology –
• 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry
• Biology/Biotechnology

• Computer Science & Engineering –
• 10+ 2 with Physics, Mathematics

Eligibility For B. Tech. Lateral Entry (After Diploma / B.Sc.)

1. Diploma examination from an AICTE approved institution;
2. B.Sc. degree from a recognized University as defined by UGC
3. B.Sc. stream shall clear the subjects of Engineering graphics/ Engineering Drawing and Engineering Mechanics of the first year engineering program along with the second year subjects.

With minimum qualifying marks for General Category – 50%,  SC/ST – 45%.

Eligibility Criteria For M.Sc. (Department of Biotechnology)

• (Three-year Degree Course) with Honours/Major in Biotechnology/ Botany/Zoology/Chemistry/ any other allied disciplines with 50% marks and for General stream students with 55% in the concerned subject in which admission.

Eligibility For Admission In PhD Programme:

• As per University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedures for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2022).

Selection Based for Nagaland University Admission

1. For B. Tech.
2. Selection will be based on marks obtained in diploma examination for Lateral entry.
3. Shortlisting – The merit list shall be prepared by considering 70% of 12^th Standard and 30% of JEE main/ Advanced score for fresh entry.

• For M. Sc.
• Selection will be based on their performance in Graduation

• Ph D
• An Entrance Test of 70 Marks shall be conducted by the Department. A candidate must obtain 50% marks in the entrance test to qualify for interview
• A personal interview of 30 Marks shall be conducted for final Selection.
• A student having UGC-NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (including JRF)/ICAR-NET/ GATE/ other relevant exams will be exempted from the entrance test and will be eligible for direct interview.
• The marks obtained in the personal interview will be extrapolated to 100 for preparing merit list for such candidates.
