SSC JHT registration started today August 2. There are 312 vacancies The recruitment will be done in two stages – written exam and document verification. The written exam consists of two papers, paper 1 is conducted in online mode and paper 2 is conducted in descriptive mode.

SSC JHT Application Form 2024
When the registration link opens on 23 July on official website ssc.nic.in. Candidates will be able to fill the application form till the last date which will be mentioned in the SSC JHT notification. The application form of SSC JHT can be filled in two parts. In part 1, candidates need to register themselves by entering basic details like name, gender, date of birth, etc.
After successful registration, candidates can proceed with part 2 where they will mention academic details, select the exam centres and pay the application fee.
For the part 2, they have to upload a scanned image of the photograph and signature
SSC JHT Qualification
Nationality
- Citizen of India or
- The subject of Bhutan/ Nepal or
- Tibetan refugee who moved to India, before January 1, 1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
- Person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

SSC JHT 2024 – Age Limit
Applicants must not have crossed 30 years for general category candidates whereas reserved category applicants are given relaxation in the upper age limit.
SSC JHT Academic Qualification
Candidates with a Masters(PG) degree in Hindi or English can apply for the SSC JHT exam. The SSC JHT education qualification also differs as per various posts.
SSC JHT Selection Process 2024
Staff Selection Commission conducts the Junior Hindi Translator exam in two-stage – Paper 1 & 2. Candidates will undergo two phases of evaluation and will have to appear for two papers. The first paper is conducted in a computer-based test. The questions will be of objective type nature. Candidates qualifying in the paper I will have to appear for paper II. Paper-II will be in pen and paper descriptive type mode. The candidates will be finally selected on the basis of the results of paper II.
SSC JHT Exam Pattern 2024
The exam pattern consists of the marking scheme, time duration of the test, the total number of questions etc. Candidates planning to prepare for the exam must go through the detailed exam pattern.
As per the exam pattern, there are two stages –
Paper 1 which is in computer-based mode and Paper 2 which is in descriptive test. Paper 1 will have questions from General Hindi and General English.
Paper 2 candidates will have to write essays and do the translation.
