The CBT 1 exams for this post are tentatively scheduled to be held between June and August 2024.
The second stage (CBT 2) exams are tentatively scheduled to take place in September 2024.
Aptitude Test (CBAT) is scheduled for November 2024.
After the Aptitude Test, the Shortlist for Document Verification will be released in November 2024/ December 2024

  1. Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 without glasses with fogging test (must not accept +2D)
  2. Near Vision: SN. 0.6,  0.6 without glasses
  3. Must pass tests for  Colour Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic Vision, etc

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational qualification of Matriculation/SSLC. Additionally, candidates must have completed a diploma in engineering entrance examination for various streams such as Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Automobile.

Matriculation /SSLC +  ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT
In Trade: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic(Moter Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic.
OR
Matriculation/SSLC + Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.
OR
Matriculation /SSLC + Three Years Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering.
OR
Combination of Various Streams of these Engineering discipline  from a recognized Institution in lieu of ITI.

EXAM  RRB ALP 2024:
2-Stages
The RRB ALP exam comprises  2 – Stages of computer-based tests, with the first stage consisting of four sections:  Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness of Current Affairs.

  • The   2 – Stage  CBT will consist of two sections: Part A and Part B
  • Part B will be of qualifying nature only whereas the marks of Part A will decide the progress of the candidates to the next stages of the selection process.
  • The minimum qualifying marks for part B are 35% for all candidates irrespective of the category.
  • 1/3rd of the marks allotted for each question shall be deducted for each wrong answer.
  • There will be sectional timing in the RRB ALP CBT –  II examination.

Ans. The role of an ALP technician involves operating and maintaining locomotives, ensuring the safety and efficiency of train operation.
