Hotel Operations from Oberoi Hotel- Oberoi STEP ( Systematic Training and Education Programme)
The Oberoi Hotel offers a three-year programme for 12 pass-out students. The programme is named STEP. The programme includes comprehensive on-the-job training at select Oberoi and Trident hotels along with a correspondence Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Studies from India Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)

All the students who are admitted to the year STEP program are enrolled on the IGNOU Bachelor of Tourism Studies. The hotel investment includes all expenses on IGNOU course fees and books, accommodation, duty meals, transportation, medical insurance and uniforms.
Monthly Allowance
The selected candidates are paid a monthly allowance during the training period.
Programme
The programme includes a dedicated study day once a week, three weeks of study leave to take the IGNOU exam and three weeks of annual leave.
On successful completion of the STEP programme, the trainee will receive a Bachelor of Tourism Studies degree from IGNOU and a certificate of proficiency from the Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development.
Above all the programme prepares candidates to join the Oberoi Group as operation assistants at their Hotels

Timing of the programme
July 2023
Eligibility
Candidate should be above 18 and below 20 years of age as of 15 August of the year of joining the programme
Candidates have passed 12 as of the First July of the year of joining a board recognized by the IGNOU India
Candidates have secured 70 per cent in English in Class 10. The equivalent in CBSE is a B2 Grade or a 7 Grade point or above
Selection Process
The application window will open in February and will continue till April and candidates have to register online. The hotel will assess the application and invite the selected candidates for interviews. In June the first week of July first week the programme starts.
