Last date extended for NIMCET from 20-April, 2024 up till 24 – April, 2024. The Exam will be held on 08- June, 2024 And Candidates can Download Admit card from 28-May, 2024 to 08-June, 2024.  

NIMCET for MCA  is conducted for admission into MCA courses in India for admission in NITs of India.

The NIMCET Application form was released on 6 March today for admission to the MCA programme. The exam will be conducted in 08 – June, 2024. Admission to the M.C.A. programme of the nine participating NITs is made through a common entrance test NIMCET for the 813 seats in all NITs. Candidates must apply for NIMCET-2023 „Online‟ only at https://www.nimcet.in

NIT Raipur conducted the NIMCET 2023 this year. National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are Institutions of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India. The NIMCET is a Common Entrance National Level Test, conducted by any of the NITs, for admission into their MCA programme.

The MCA programme is offered by NITs at Agartala, Allahabad, Bhopal, Jamshedpur, Kurukshetra, Raipur, Surathkal, Tiruchirappalli and Warangal. The admission into the MCA programme for the year 2023-24 in the above 09 NITs is based on the Rank obtained in NIMCET-2023 only.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA TO APPEAR FOR NIMCET

You are Indian Nationals and have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate or 6.5 CGPA on a 10-point scale (55% marks or 6.0 CGPA on a 10-point scale in case of SC/ ST/PwD) in the following-:

B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Hons) / BCA / BIT / B.Voc. (Computer Science/ Computer Applications / Software development)/ BBA (Computer Applications) of minimum three years full-time programme from a recognized University with Mathematics/ Statistics as one of the subjects
OR

B.E./ B.Tech. from a recognized University/Institution are eligible to appear for NIMCET-2024. Conversion of scored marks from CGPA to percentage and vice-versa is not permitted. (CGPA other than a 10-point scale will be converted to a 10-point scale based on the Unitary method)
Appearing Candidates

Those who are appearing for the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for NIMCET-2023 and such candidates shall have to furnish the proof (in the form of a certificate issued by the Head of the institution

Students who have completed/completing a Bachelor’s degree Programme as (B.Sc./ B.Sc. (Hons)/BCA/ BIT) of 3 years from Open Universities are also eligible to apply provided the programme is approved by UGC / AICTE and Distance Education Council (DEC) of Govt. of India.

Seat Allotment Process

Online Seat Allotment and remote reporting at any participating institute:

Candidates will be offered seats based on their choices in the order of NIMCET2024 rank in three rounds of allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in the first two rounds have to first log in to the NIMCET-2022 website, pay the Initial fee of Rs.10, 000/- online and take the Seat Allotment Letter.
A candidate who is allotted a seat in the 1st or 2nd round must report to any participating institutes (Remote Reporting) on the specified dates. Remote Reporting is permitted in the first round and the second round of allotments only.
