GFTIs and Other GFTIs institutions-The Government-Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs) in India are a group of 38 academic institutions that are funded by the Government of India or State governments. These institutes include universities, engineering and architecture colleges, and offer postgraduate courses as well as undergraduate courses in engineering and architecture. The primary objective of establishing GFTIs is to provide quality technical education to students across the country and to promote research and development in the field of engineering and technology.
GFTIs offer a wide range of courses in engineering and architecture, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The eligibility criteria for admission to these programs vary depending on the course and the institute. To be eligible for admission to undergraduate courses, candidates must have passed their 10th and 12th board exams and must have qualified for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main. The eligibility criteria for postgraduate courses may differ from institute to institute.
The admission process for GFTIs is managed by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Main exam are considered eligible for admission to the courses offered by the different GFTIs in India. The selection criteria for admission to GFTIs are based on the JEE Main score, and the admission process involves choice filling, seat allocation, and document verification. Eligible candidates must fill out the application form and submit it within the specified deadline. Once the application process is complete, candidates must participate in the counselling process to secure admission to their desired course and institute
